Hey Mr. V, I'd probably start with the Parts Express guys for help. Also, make sure the receptacle you are using has a proper ground (I'm assuming the amp has the typical 3-prong plug). I almost toasted a little subwoofer amp using a "cheater" plug. Its auto-on function didn't like that and the class ab amp got really hot very quickly.
Anyway, if you can pull that fan and get the specs, it should be an easy fix.
