Merry Christmas
« on: December 25, 2021, 05:36:28 AM »
Helen and I hope you all have a good one. Christmas came a little early for us. Had I not broke my foot 4 weeks ago we'd have more than 55 and 100 miles on them. Helen's is the white and red one. For the first time in over 50 years I do not have a dirt bike but since I have no one to ride with anymore these seemed a better choice. These are as much fun as anyone will ever have on a bike going 45 MPH! :) And more fun than a super bike going 100 MPH, I know, I have had both. :)
Thank you all for the support over the years. Helen and I are not going anywhere and we hope you guys are not either!
Ed

Cool Ed.  Let's see you scoot up the dog ramp on the rear wheel!  ;D

Merry Christmas!

Yeap, that Cannondale and I have spend many thousand miles together (and a few crashes). Planning on taking it out for a ride today as its sunny and somewhat warm here in Spain.

Only thing, the shock up front can not be adjusted or locked. My wife has the model above and on hers you can look and adjust the shock absorber.

D., you must live in a high crime area. Someone stole the engines! Kidding aside, I am impressed you can (at your advanced age :)  )still ride a bike. You must still have good knees. No way can I ride one anymore, knees just won't take it. Of course, even if that were not the case, bikes no matter how fancy, are just too slow and boring for me. I'd fall asleep riding. Top speed on the Benelli's is a little over 60 at 10,000 RPM. On the dirt roads you probably can or do  go as fast as us.....20 mph or so most of the time.
Happy New Year!
Ed

I've done 50 mph on my road bike before at a lot less the 10.000 RPM  ;D ;D ;D

Well, before I met you (Ed), I used to run marathons, but due to Arthritis in my feet I no longer do running. So I prefer cycling.

If you (Ed) ever want to go cycling with me, I promise you that you will not fall asleep. (at least not during the ride, maybe afterwards, having a cold one)  ;)

I like that shock though.  It's durable and maintenance free.  People complain about it's lack of travel, but it wasn't designed to be an extreme mtn. bike anyway.  A friend had one and I always thought it was a nice, reasonable cross-country bike.

Yeap, there is really no maintenance you can do in this shock. Mine must be about 25 years old or older.

Me and my daughter have a F500 and my wife has a F600
