Jump Chargers- battery powered
« on: February 04, 2022, 07:59:21 PM »
Have any of you guys tried these lithium battery jump chargers that use a simple usb cord to recharge?  Supposedly they hold a charge for at least a month or two.  I've thought about buying an inexpensive one just to keep me from dragging out the old 120v charger and extension cord (my charger is becoming a bit dangerous). :(

If it's viable, having one in the trunk could be nice.  And there's always starting the lawn mower, etc.

Thanks, henry

Henry, I have an Everstart from wally world. They say it's for 4&6 cyl. Very small. It will not start a battery that is completely dead like after days of being dead but I cut the lights on in my Ranger and waited until they went off. No clicking but after a few minutes of sitting the dash lights glowed a little. Hooked the thing up and waited a minute or so and the damn thing fired right up. If a car is clicking it will certainly start it. I use mine all the time to start the golf carts...their batteries are weak and after sitting a few days they are stubborn and it is more than enough to fire them right up. We carry it when we ride in case they won't start after we stop for a cold one, well, after I stop for a cold one and Helen maybe a ginger ale.  I won't be buying a battery for either until the day it will not start them. They are gas, btw.

Cool Ed, I got one from Amazoon yesterday and haven't played around with it yet.  A little bigger than a cell phone.  Also, I bought a little Li-powered air pump for a little over $20.  It's tiny and probably slow, but at least it'll charge a cell phone or blow sunshine up my a**.  ;)
