General Discussion / Hornfest 2023?

Hi Ed;

I've been out of the loop for a while and wondering if there is a Hornfest this year?

I'd strongly recommend taking the trip to pick these up.  They are big and heavy.  Leesville in the spring isn't bad at all.   :)

It's time for a new home if anyone wants them. They are not free but relatively speaking they might as well be.
If any of you are interested, shoot me email for details. There is an issue with one, the other is fine. The issue should not be a big  deal.
Figure...in the 750 dollar range for everything related to them and the amps if picked up, otherwise I just want actual shipping.

Capt. Z.....for you! America today, in case you are still watching CNN.  Also, since you've spent some time overseas, the police state like the one we are having right now may give you some flashback, I suppose.

Henry,

Thank you for pointing to the Dayton Audio outrigger. Looks very good. I have been thinking about making something similar out of a hardwood, but only 8 or 9 inches wide instead of 11 1/2 inches. I will mock up 11 1/2" pieces out of wood to see if I can fit them in the space available. Area is tight.
Yours,
Michael

Cidermill, take a kook at lhese.  They aren't crazy money and seem to be the right size.  Check out the last photo on the listing to see if that looks good, I think they do.

I had filled the bottom of my Horns with BB gun pellets. And added some 'hard rubber' discs on the bottom, since mine are not standing on carpet. No problems NOT tipping them over.

Hi, I know this has been covered before, but could we have another round of people sharing ideas of how to provide better stability for the Hornshoppe Model 1 speaker?

Suggested outrigger designs? Is there a product currently in the market?
Mounting spiked feet?
Other approaches?
Greatly appreciate if people have photos of things they have done to improve stability and firmness.

Thank you everyone.
Yours,
Michael

Well, little over a year after this thread started, number of sacred video footage have been released.
We all know political hay would be made from that event,
Those shielded videos confirm that.  Now we know why those dems shielded it.
