Compatible amp with Hornshoppe speakers and Preamp
« on: August 30, 2022, 03:27:33 PM »
I've noted that some forum members have shared that they currently use or have used in the past Transcendent Sound Amps with very good results.
Has anyone tried the new Transcendent Audio Mini Beast in combination with the Hornshoppe Model 1 with Heil ESS and the Truth Preamp? And just a single amp, not one for each channel.
Currently using the Amp Camp Amp Version 1.6
Thank you.

Hey, Bruce makes really nice amps.  They tend to be very unforgiving and accurate.  So, if you want the last word in detail and solidity, it could be a winner.  The Horns are great if you feed them well.   ;D

It's hard to beat the ACA.  And, it's great in the winter months!  If you do get a Mini, I'd like to hear your impressions.  I have Bruce's preamp and phono stage and love them.

Also, check out Hagerman Labs.  He no longer makes amps, but has some outstanding ancillary items.  I have cobbled together some kits from the past and have his phono stage, preamp and DAC.  Those things can transform your system.

Thanks Cidermill, there's no perfection, just get close.  Bruce makes some cool stuff.  I really enjoy the no-nonsense of guys like Bruce, Jim, Frank and Ed.  Audio heroes for sure.
